Hearing

Prospects for Libya in the current regional context

Monday, 15.00-16.30

 

MEPs on the Foreign Affairs committee will hold a hearing on the „Prospects for Libya in the current regional context“. It will assess the current political and security situation in Libya, stabilisation efforts as well as EU role, ahead of the two-years deadline of the Libyan Political Agreement.

The debate with Libyan Mission to the EU and experts will feed into the recommendation on Libya that the European Parliament is due to adopt in the coming months.

Foreign affairs committee will debate the situation in Albania and its relations with EU with Ditmir Bushati, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania.MEPs will examine Albania’s efforts to overhaul judiciary, tackle corruption and drug trade, improve internal political dialogue and ensure good neighbourly relations.
