Press conference: 2022 reports on common foreign, security and defence policy

The rapporteurs will hold a press conference ahead of Wednesday’s votes on common foreign and security policy, and common security and defence policy 2022 annual reports.

When: Wednesday, 18 January, 11:00-11:30

Where: Daphne Caruana Galizia press conference room, European Parliament, Strasbourg, and via Interactio

Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee David McAllister (EPP, DE), lead MEP on the common foreign and security policy (CFSP) annual report, and Security and Defence Subcommittee Member Tom Vandenkendelaere (EPP, BE), lead MEP on the common security and defence policy (CSDP) annual report, will answer journalists’ questions.

The 2022 annual reports focus on the war in Ukraine, global authoritarianism, China, and the climate emergency. The debate on the two reports will take place on Tuesday afternoon and the votes will be at 12.00 – 13.00 on Wednesday.
