Nuclear threats: press point with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi and MEPs

On Tuesday at 17.30 CET, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will take part in a joint press point with Committee chairs.

The press point with MEPs David McAllister (EPP, Germany), Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, and Nathalie Loiseau (Renew Europe, France), Chair of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence, will take place outside meeting room 4Q2, at 17.30 CET, in the European Parliament’s ANTALL building in Brussels. It will also be live streamed.

It follows a joint debate with Mr Grossi at 16.30 CET the same day. At this meeting, MEPs are expected to quiz the IAEA chief on a range of issues, including the worrying nuclear activities and actions by Russia during its war of aggression against Ukraine, but also by Iran and the implications of these for international security. You can watch the meeting live here (24.01.2023).
