McAllister: Kosovo has to ratify border demarcation agreement

PODGORICA – European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman and member of Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU), David McAllister, says unresolved territorial disputes in the region must be settled before countries move forward with the EU.

In his interview with Pobjeda, McAllister has stated that Kosovo’s ratification of border demarcation agreement with Montenegro is of crucial importance for both states, especially Pristina, striving for visa liberalization.

Kosovo leaders and officials should do everything possible in order to meet final requirements for visa liberalization – to ratify the agreement on border demarcation with Montenegro and keep records on fight against organized crime and corruption, according to McAllister.

“There’s no any alternative to ratification of border agreement signed between the two countries in 2015,” concluded MEP, David McAllister.
