LIBE/AFET/DEVE MEPs to discuss the situation of Syrian refugees in Turkey

Three European Parliament committees will debate the €6 billion fund that the EU has made available to support refugees in Turkey on Wednesday.

The situation of Syrian refugees in Turkey will be on the agenda of a joint Civil Liberties (LIBE), Foreign Affairs (AFET) and Development Committee (DEVE) meeting on Wednesday morning, 6 November. Committee MEPs will also discuss the EU-Turkey facility, a mechanism for managing a €6 billion fund that the EU has put in place to help Turkey take care of refugees.

Presentations will be given by Maciej Popowski, Deputy Director-General, DG NEAR, European Commission and Michael Koehler, Deputy Director-General, DG ECHO, European Commission.
