Being elected as CDU state chairman at the party conference in Celle in June 2008 was a great honour for me. The successful performance of the Lower Saxony CDU at the European and national elections in 2009 and municipal elections on 11 September 2011 show: If it matters, the CDU-members are highly motivated. That makes me confident for our next state election in January 2013.
